George W. Aaron, 75 and of Jasonville, passed away Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, at his residence in Jasonville. Born Oct. 23, 1927 in Jasonville, he was the son of James Owen and Fern (Wilcox) Aaron Lee. He was retired from General Electric in Linton, and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Air Force. Survivors include his ex-wife, Dorothy Virginia Aaron of Reelsville; one daughter, Patricia Fern Williams of Indianapolis; two sons, Anton B. Aaron of Reelsville and George Owen Aaron of Jasonville; one sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Howard Lee of Jasonville; one brother, William Lee of Terre Haute; six grandchildren, William Hiatt, Jesse Aaron, Clint Aaron and Mark Aaron, Scarlet Cox and Tracy Aaron; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Rose Aaron; two brothers, Jim Aaron and David Lee; and his parents. Funeral services will be at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville at 11 a.m. on Friday with the Rev. Sam Bush officiating. Burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery at Midland.
