She attended school in Vernon Parish. She later attended Delta Career College. Upon completion she went to work for Kurthwood Manor Nursing Home.
Mary enjoyed the little things like family, friends and the 700 Club.
Those who proceeded her in death were her parents, Clarence Acey, II & Sarah Acey; sisters, Jewel Scott, Brenda Acey & Lillie Ann Lennox.
She leaves to mourn her, daughter, Shemeka Acey-Roy and son-in-law, Robert Roy; brothers, Charles Acey, Sr.(Martha), Clarence Acey II(Myra), James Acey (Rosie); sisters, Janice Forston, Minnie Acey and her very special friend, John L. Bouya and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, family & friends.
