Horace L. Moreland, 60, died Wednesday morning of last week in a Delhi clinic after a long illness. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. last Thursday at Gay's Funeral Home in Delhi with the Rev. A. C. Gammill officiating, assisted by Rev. Glynn Byrd.

Burial was in the Delhi Masonic Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Curtis Ronald Moreland and Terry Lyn Moreland, both of the U.S. Navy; his mother, Mrs. Ida Moreland, of Vicksburg; four sisters, Mrs. P. L. Jackson and Mrs. Z. W. Williams, both of Delhi; Mrs. R. E. Abell, of Welch, and Mrs. P. E. Miller, of Beaumont, Tex.; a brother, A. L. Moreland, of Smackover, Ark.; two step-sisters, Mrs. Ruth Powers, of Vicksburg, and Mrs. Vivian Fitzhugh of Lena, Miss.

Pallbearers were Lester Ferris, Kelly Russell, Wesley Wilson, Henry Wilburn, Ray Jackson and Kirby Maxwell.
