Funeral mass for Mrs. Bettye Abernathy, age 79 of Dickson,Tn will be celebrated Saturday morning, Feb. 8, 2014 at 10 AM from the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in McEwen, Tn with Father Michael Baltrus, celebrant. Place of rest will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited Fri. Feb. 7th at 3:30 PM and with visitation beginning at 4 PM until 8 PM at Taylor Funeral Home. Those desiring Memorials may be made to the St. Patrick's School in McEwen. Services under the direction of the Taylor Funeral Home.

Mrs. Abernathy, loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, homemaker and widow of the late Sam Abernathy, died Feb. 3, 2014 at Horizon Medical Center after a short stay. She was the daughter of the late Neil Edward and Wilkie Lucille Moore Burns. She was a member of the Catholic Church and graduate of McEwen High School.

Survivors include her Four Daughers; Lisa (Johnny) Moore, Lori (Dr Jan) Gorzny, Dr. Valerie ( DR John) Guenst, and Veronica (Roni)( DR William) Nylander, Her Nine Grandchildren; Jennifer, Anna, Stephanie and Margaret Gorzny, Sam and Ellen Moore, Paul, Jennifer and David Guenst, Her Sisters; Thelma Carpenter and Emily Burr and her husband, Fred, Several Nieces and Nephews.
