Lucy T. Gabbard, age 62 of Camden, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 28, 2014. Lucy was born on Feb. 11, 1952, in Clay County, Kentucky, daughter of the late General Ralph & Minnie Pearl (White) Abner. She was raised in Knox County, Kentucky. Lucy married the love of her life, Robert E. Gabbard in 1969. Mom loved her family dearly, especially her great grandchildren. Member of Higher Heights Church of God in Camden, Ohio. Preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Mike Abner.

Survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert E. Gabbard of Camden; three children, Julie (Mike) Adamson of Camden, Rebecca (James) Jones of Camden and Tim (Roxanne) Gabbard of Somerville; brother, Charles (Angie) Abner of Oxford; sisters, Irene Allen of Camden and Fran (Lonnie) Napier of Manchester, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Casey, Mary, Mariah, Joshua, Brittany, Christina, Jon and Chaz; three great grandchildren, Wyatt, Brianna and Lucy.

Visitation for Lucy T. Gabbard will be on Wednesday, March 5 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Higher Heights Church of God, 8111 US 127, Camden, Ohio with Rev. Marvin Hocker officiating. Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm at the church on Wednesday. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Camden. Condolences via www.barnesfuneralhome.com
