James L. Pennel, 82, Loysburg, passed away Saturday at Pennknoll Village. He was born in Loysburg, son of the late J. Lawrence and Jennie (Kauffman) Pennel. He married Shirley Hoagland on July 15, 1954. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Luann Machise, Carla Shryock and Karen Jones; three siblings: Elaine, Fred and Don K.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Abbitt. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Community Grace Brethren Church, Everett. Arrangements are by S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home, Woodbury.
