MR. NOAH M. ACREE, a former resident of Sylvester, but residing at Madison, FL, for the past several years, died in a Moultrie hospital early Sunday morning as a result of fatal injuries sustained when an automobile in which he was riding Saturday afternoon left the road and overturned several miles southwest of Moultrie.
Riding with Mr. Acree at the time of the accident was his brother in law, Mr. Parker Morgan of Winter Haven, Fla, who was slightly injured.
Mr. Acree was badly cut about the neck, face and body. The accident took place about 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon. He was rushed to a Moultrie hospital where he died early Sunday morning.
Mr. Acree was 51 years of age.
Surviving him besides his widow are three children, Edward, Marion and Evelyn; his father, A. A. Acree, Sr. of Madison, FL; 4 brothers, W. A. Acree of Madison, FL, Arch Acree of Valdosta, Oscar Acree of Clyattville, A. A. Acree, Jr. of Lake Park, and 1 sister, Mrs. E. L. Gammage of Madison, FL.
The funeral was held at the residence of Mr. D. L. Gammage in Sylvester Monday afternoon at 4 o’clock, conducted by Rev. E. L. Baskin and Rev. Hooks of Poulan.
Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery with Spurlin Funeral Home in charge.
