Mrs. G. W. Abbott Dies

Mrs. G. W. Abbott passed away Sunday evening at 8 o'clock after an illness of several weeks. She had pneumonia. She was Elizabeth Ann Prewett and was born December 9, 1856, in Schuyler county, Nebraska, and the family moved to Missouri when she was two years old. Later they came to Kansas and took a claim in this county. She was married August 18, 1879 to G. W. Abbott, and they have four living children—Mrs. Carter, Mrs. Logan Bell, Charles and Jack, all of this county. The funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon at the Baptist church which was conducted by the pastor, Rev. J. B. Sims. Interment was in Fairview cemetery.
