Charles Nolan Adams Sr., 95, of Marshall, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, October 3, 2010.
Mr. Adams was born in Madison County on July 9, 1915. He worked as a Master Steam Fitter in the Heating and Air Conditioning Industry, Nolan was a faithful and dedicated member of Walnut Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and talented vocalist. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Merlie Chandler Adams, sister, Fannie Sizemore and brothers, Ervin and Wayne Adams.
Surviving are his wife of 73 years, Helen Leake Adams; son, Charles Adams and wife, Carole M. Adams, of Surfside Beach, S.C.; and daughter, Linda Adams Landers and husband, Jimmie Claude Landers, of Leicester; special daughter, Cassie Chandler; six grandchildren, Adam Landers, Emily Houser, Timothy B Landers, W. Scott Adams, Catherine E. Adams and Stephanie Walls; nine great-grandchildren; William and Cora Houser, Sarah Wayne and Leach Landers, Shyanna, Zain, Sydney and Nolan Adams; sister, Faye Adams of Marshall; and brothers, Garland, Ward, Andrew Jr., Neil and Doug Adams.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of the Madison County Funeral Home, with the Revs. Robert Hawkins and Tommy Lipe officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
