Jessie Irene Miles Aaseby, age 82, of Hopewell Friends Rd., Asheboro died Monday, January 6, 2003 at Asheboro Health & Rehabilitation, Asheboro.
Mrs. Aaseby was a native of Franklinville, NC and a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church. She was formerly employed as a baker, and was an accomplished artist, cartoonist, and poet. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin H. Aaseby.
She is survived by one daughter: Mary Filer of Asheboro, NC; three sisters: Mary Berry of Asheboro, NC, Jewel Wallace of Asheboro, NC, Helen Steed of Asheboro, NC; 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 8, 2003 from 7-9 P.M. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Thursday, January 9, 2003 at 4:00 p.m.at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Pastor Ken Gillikin and Pastor Ralph Kraft officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
