KEIZER - Kathleen Elizabeth Aaron Gramlich passed away July 29, 2011 at her home in Keizer, Oregon.
Kathleen was born in Russell Springs Kentucky on February 27, 1933 to George Howard Aaron and Ruth McQueary Aaron.
The family moved from Kentucky to Sheridan, Oregon in 1938 where Kathleen attended school. After graduation, she worked at Oregon Mutual and as an officer with US Bank.
On September 25, 1954 she married Francis (Frank) Gramlich and they were blessed with four sons: David, Jeffrey, Steven and Christopher. Kathleen had three daughters-in-law; Yvette, Sheila and Elaine; three grandsons, Israel, Gabriel, and William, and one granddaughter Parker Jane. Kathleen's family meant the world to her.
Kathleen lived her life to the fullest doing the things she loved; spending time with her family, traveling, gardening, shopping, reading, was a talented artist and having birthday sleep overs with her sisters.
In her battle with cancer, she was always more concerned about her family's pain than she was of her own. Her quiet strength, dignity, humor, grace and love of life was an inspiration to all those around her.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband Frank, her sister Helen Satchell and parents George and Ruth Aaron. She is survived by her sons David Gramlich of Keizer, Jeffrey Gramlich and his wife Yvette Tallentire of Sellwood; Steve Gramlich and his wife Sheila of Salem; Christopher Gramlich and wife Elaine of Salem Oregon; grandchildren Israel, Gabriel, Parker Jane and William; sisters Jewell Miller, Jeanie Hall, Diane and husband Fred Ackom all of Keizer, brothers John Aaron and wife Judy of Heppner, Oregon and James Aaron and wife Susan of Aloha, Oregon; step grandchild James and other family and friends.
Viewing/ visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011, from 12- 5 pm at Keizer Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011, at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Salem. Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 8, at 10:30 am. Keizer Funeral Chapel is in care of arrangements.
