MRS. LUCY ROGERS.

Mrs. Lucy Rogers, widow of James Cullen Rogers, formerly prominent politician and sheriff of Dodge County for many years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. M. Yawn, Rhine, Route Two, Monday. Mrs. Rogers, who resided with her daughter, Mrs. P. E. Roberson, of Albany, came to the home of Mrs. Yawn on a visit about three weeks ago. She had been in ill health several years. Dropsy is assigned as the cause of death.

The body was buried in Brown Cemetery at Chauncey Tuesday, funeral services being conducted by Rev. L. S. Yates. A vocal program was rendered by Mrs. Claude Harrell, Mrs. Hattie E. Hargrove and Mrs. Ruth Robinson. The following acted as pallbearers: R. E. and E. E. Tyner, I. A. Yancey, John A. Hargrove, G. P. Wilson and W. R. Pitts.

Mrs. Rogers was 64 years old. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. P. E. Roberson, Albany; Mrs. W. M. Yawn, Rhine, Route Two; S. T. Rogers, Sebastian, Fla.; J. G. Rogers, Jacksonville, Fla.; Mrs. Alleen Waters, Akron, Ohio; Jesse Rogers, whose address is unknown.
