This community was sadly shocked when word was received of the death of the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Messa Leith at the Mercy hospital at Ft. Dodge, where she had been operated on for appendicitis.
Doris Jean was born at the home near Ware, Iowa, on November 27, 1918, and died at the Mercy hospital November 22, 1925, at the age of six years, 11 months and 25 days. She leaves to mourn her death, her father and mother, four sisters and three brothers, Flora, Lloyd, Iris, Mable, Oliver, Ruth and Myrle, besides many friends.
The funeral services were held at the M. E. church at Ware and, the remains
were laid to rest in the Summit cemetery at Pocahontas.
