GREENSBURG - Laurina Georgiana Bertha Olson Abbott, 103, died May 17, 2005, at Hilltop House of Bucklin.

She was born Dec. 17, 1901, in Neosho County, the daughter of Petrus and Eda Johnson Olson. She attended Bethany College, Lindsborg. She taught school at Dewey, Okla., and Greensburg.

She was a charter member of the Alpha Study and Social Club and belonged to the American Auxiliary Legion for 69 years and the Eastern Star for 78 years.

On Dec. 27, 1920, she married Carl Abbott in Neodesha. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include: a son, Clayton, Arlington, Texas; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Cleon G.; and a brother, Clifford P. Olson.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Christian Church, Greensburg, with the Rev. Arnett Williams presiding. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery following the service.

Memorials may be sent to the church, Hilltop House of Bucklin or to Hospice of the Prairie, all in care of Fleener Funeral Home, Greensburg.
