Mrs. Carrie Smith Livingston
Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Smith Livingston, 80, who died Sunday in the Telfair County Hospital were held Monday at 3pm in the chapel of Harris & Smith Funeral Home. The Rev. Clayton Towns officiated, assisted by the Rev. Weaver Grimes and burial was in the Livingston Cemetery.
Mrs. Livingston was born in Laurens County on March 4, 1887, the daughter of Columbus C. and Dicey Smith. She was married to the late Evert Frederick Livingston and was a member of the Towns Church of God.
Pallbearers were: Carlton Smith, Edward Smith, Bernard Webb, Elbert Livingston, J. L. Browning Jr., and Richard Waldrep.
Survivors include four sons, Merritt B. and Harry of McRae, and V. A. and Mason of Lumber City; two daughters, Mrs. R. L. Browning of Macon and Mrs. Eschol Adams of McRae; one brother, Pat Smith of McRae; three sisters, Mrs. Belle Graham, Mrs. Columbia Webb of Atlanta and Mrs. Lillian Towns of McRae; 29 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
