Michael Alexander Steward was residing in Poplar Bluff when he departed this life at the early age of 30 years. Alex was a loving family member and devoted friend throughout his life. He will always be greatly missed by all who benefited from the luxury of his love and friendship.

"The righteous shall go into life eternal." - (Matthew 25:46)

Alex devoted 6 years of his life to serving in the United States Army.

"Greater love than this no one has, that one lay down his life for his friends." - (John 15:13)

He had earned a Radiology Degree, a BA of Science and a Technician Degree, and had been employed at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for 5 years.

"...Well done, thou good and faithful servant." -(Matthew 25:21)

Alex is survived by his loving father, James Robert (J.R.) Steward of Senath, MO; his treasured mother, Wilma Steward Motes, and his devoted step-father, Johney Motes, both of Baldwyn, MS.

"This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." - (Matthew 3:17)

Also, surviving are honored grandparents: Helen Steward, of Senath; and Johney and Rosie Motes of Guntown, MS; Beloved sibings: Dennis Minton, James Carl Guiett, Patrick and Katie Guiett, Roger and Alana Root, Tiffany and Johnny Roper, Cassey and Kirk Hunter, Miranda and Waylon Daniel, Crystal McGregory and Emma McGregory; Esteemed Uncle Ronnie and Aunt Debbie Austin, of Senath, and Uncle Gary Steward of Blythville, AR; Nieces: Tristen and Kalie Daniel; Cousin John Austin, of Paragould, AR; plus, several other nieces and nephews and still, more extended relatives and friends.

"Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted." - (Matthew 5:4)

He was preceded in death by grandfather, James Robert Steward Jr.; and maternal grandparents, Burneal and Stella Austin.

"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." - (John 14:2)

Visitation was held on Monday, June 30th, at McDaniel Funeral Service in Senath. Services were conducted on Tuesday, July 1st, at First Baptist Church in Senath. Reverend Doug Clinton officiated.

"This is the promise... the life everlasting." - (1st Epistle of John 2:25)

Pallbearers were Dennis Minton, Roger Root, Bryan Alspaugh, Jesse Redus, Randy Stallings and Josh Jones with honorary pallbearers: Duane Motes, Tim Stallings, Jeremy Jones and Stephen Keho.

"For with thee is the foundation of life: in the light shall we see light." (Psalms 36:9)
