17 May 1903 -Kansas City Star, KC, MO p. 13 City News - George Diegle Abbott, the 7-year-old son of A. P. Abbott, secretary of the Midland School Supply company, died of spinal meningitis yesterday afternoon at the family home, 1815 East Thirty-sixth street. The body will be sent to Carrollton, Mo., for interment.
18 May 1903 - The Atchison Daily Globe p. 2 - Mr. and Mrs. George Diegle are in Carrollton, Mo., today attending the funeral of a great-nephew, George Abbott. Henry Deigel was called to Kansas City yesterday by the boy's death.
