George worked as a farmhand in Sidney in 1880 and married Rosa May Stiles around 1884. They lived in the Sidney & Percival, IA areas until moving to Huron, SD in the early 1900's. George was a carpenter by trade. After the death of Rose, George and daughter, Myrtle, continued to live in Huron. In the 1920's, George moved to Wolsey, SD and worked as a manager of a creamery.
George & Rose had children: Mary Elizabeth "Bessie", Amos Laru, Perry, Clark, Helen and Myrtle.

Mr. and Mrs. Clyde McElroy left Tuesday for Huron. S. Dak., being called there by the illness of her father, George Leslie. Mr. Leslie passed away Saturday, which his many friends here are grieved to learn. This was Mr. Leslie's home for years and his obituary will appear in a later Issue.
