Franklin Delano "Pete" Adams, age 81 of Lynchburg, Tennessee passed from this life on Thursday, July 17, 2014, at his home. He was born March 13, 1933 in Lynchburg: the son of the late Jack Tankersley and Bertha Adams. He was very proud of his forty years of service in the US Army and National Guard. He served two tours of duty in the Korean War, two tours of duty in Vietnam and a tour of duty in Dessert Storm. In addition to his military service, he worked for Fushi Copperweld as a fabricator for twenty-one years.

Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his wife, Shariann Beatrice (Arnold) Adams; brothers, Orville Tankersley, Thomas Earl Tankersley, Jay Tankersley, and Houston Tankersley; and sisters, Anna Ruth Lewis, and Elizabeth Smith.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, July 21 in the Jennings Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Allen Black officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Hurricane Cemetery, Tullahoma, TN.
