Ms. Debra Michelle Abbott, better known to her family and friends as Beavis, of Bremen, Georgia died Friday, August 1, 2014. She was 43.

Debra was born in DeKalb County, Georgia on September 29, 1970, the daughter of the late Emerson "Junior" Abbott and Cora Bishop Abbott. She was a 1989 graduate of Villa Rica High School and worked at Community and Southern Bank in Bremen as a teller. Debra was a member of the Baptist Tabernacle.

She is survived by her sisters, Phyllis Wyrick of Temple, Cheryl Fuller, Tammy Gentry of Bremen; nephews, Josh Hack, Chip Fuller and several great nephews, great nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Steffanie Abbott and nephew, David Hack.

The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Sunday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Funeral service will be Monday, August 4 at 5 p.m. at Baptist Tabernacle with Rev. Joey Meeks and Rev. Lee Patrick officiating. Her body will be placed in state from 4 p.m. until the service time.

Pallbearers will be Josh Hack, Gary Wyrick, Pee Wee Evans, Christian Evans, Ronnie Gentry and Ken Gentry.

Interment will be in the Baptist Tabernacle Cemetery.
