NATCHITOCHES -- Winston R. Younger, 61, died at his home here Wednesday unexpectedly.

Funeral rites will be at 3 p.m. today at the First Methodist Church of Natchitoches with the Rev. George Pearce Jr., the Rev. Odell Simmons and the Rev. Leslie Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Memory Lawn Cemetery under direction of Blanchard Funeral Home.

Mr. Younger was a retired theater owner. He retired several years ago due to ill health. Mr. Younger, a native of Avoyelles Parish, had lived in Natchitoches 16 years.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Alva Sims Younger; four sons, Claude Edwards of Mansfield, W. R. Jr., of Baton Rouge, Robert W. of Bastrop and George W. of Natchitoches; four brothers, George B. of Alexandria, Charles Lee of Alexandria, John Ed of Port Allen and Floyd Allen; two sisters, Mrs. Oneita Abbott of Port Allen and Mrs. Eleanor Y. Beaubouf of Baton Rouge and five grandchildren.
