DENNIS – Linda Gail Ashley, 70, died Friday, August 8, 2014, at The Meadows in Fulton. She was born in Dennis to Audie and Audrey Ables. She was a seamstress and worked at the Dixie Queen. She attended New Providence Primitive Baptist Church.
Services will be today, August 10, at 2:00 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont with Elder Cecil Woodruff and Bro. Kevin Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Dennis Memory Gardens. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are three children, Regina Bates (Roy), Rebecca Martin and Jason Ashley (Myshae), all of Dennis; four grandchildren, Roy Bates Jr., Zachary Miller, Taylor Martin, Cassie Ashley, Sara-Katheryn Scott and Atley Scott; three great-grandchildren, Kasen Martin, Addison Bates and Easton Bates; three brothers and sisters, Jasper Ables (Linda), Michael Ables and Judy Riddle (Danny).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Ashley in 1991; and her parents.
Pallbearers will be Larry Eaton, Garry Milligan, Jimmy Abel, Harold Wayne Turner, Gene Eaton and James Kennedy.
Visitation will be until service time today at Deaton Funeral Home.
