Mrs. Katherine Bell, 88 of Eanston, Illinois formerly of Galesburg died at 12:20 p.m. Monday in the Presbyterian Home in Evanston.
Born March 1, 1891 in Ellisville, a daughter of Maurice and Clara A. Sheckler A'Hearn. She married Emory Bell and he preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Maxine Schleifer of Galesburg; one sister, Mrs. Beulah Voorhees, Galesburg, one step-sister, Mrs. Augusta Henry, Louisville, KY; seven grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
She formerly worked as a nurse's aide in the Chicago area.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. today in Ellisville Cemetery, the Rev. Howard Donahue officiating. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation.
