Milton Bewley Abercrombie, Sr., 87, of Bristol, Tennessee, died Sunday, May 27, 2007, at his residence. Milton married May 19, 2001 and is survived by his fourth wife Nina Corder Isley Abercrombie. Milton was a graduate of Georgia Tech in Athens, Georgia and retired from Quebecor of Kingsport, Tennessee. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, entered service 31 August, 1944 at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia as a special engineer detachment, Manhattan district, Oak Ridge Tennessee. His medals include Meritorious (Unit) Award, American Theater Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. He was discharged 26 June, 1946 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He was a former member of the Lions Club and the Bristol Chamber of Commerce. He was a member since 12 May, 1946 of First Presbyterian Church of Bristol, Tennessee and the Graham Landrum Sunday School class. Milton was also a lifetime member of the Bristol Country Club.
In addition to his wife Nina Corder Isley Abercrombie, Milton is survived by his first wife, Gloria Bachman Abercrombie Rachmacy and her husband Joseph V. Rachmacy of Greenville, Tennessee, and Milton's and Gloria's children, Milton Bewley Abercrombie, Jr. of Napa Valley, California, and his children, grandson Austin and granddaughter Mirah, his daughter-in-law Suzanne Linn Abercrombie and his granddaughter Ashley and grandson Robert; daughter Vickie Ruth Abercrombie Hays and her friend Karl of Suwannee, Georgia, granddaughter Heather, grandson, Hunter, and granddaughter, Holly Hays Orlando; son Paul Wakefield Abercrombie and wife Mary Ann of Lubbock, Texas and his son Bryan Abercrombie.
Mr. Abercrombie was preceded in death by his parents Milton Smith Abercrombie and Nellie Elizabeth Bewley Abercrombie of Bristol, Tennessee, his son Phillip Bachman "P.B." Abercrombie, his second wife Patricia Pecktel Abercrombie of Kingsport, Tennessee, and his third wife Elsie W. Bailey Abercrombie of Bristol, Tennessee.
