William “Bill” Blaine Hamilton, 60, of McAlester, died Monday, August 18, 2014 at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 22 at Bishop Chapel of Memories with Rev. Rob Pierce and Bill Hensley officiating. Service arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service. Bill was born on October 4, 1953 in McAlester to James Mack & Polly Harrington Hamilton. He attended schools in Pittsburg and graduated from Pittsburg High School. Bill then attended Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton. He married Mary Nell Clements on April 27, 1979 in McAlester, Oklahoma. Later he would join The Oklahoma Department of Transportation and worked for them for 41 years. He was a bridge inspector with ODOT. Bill was a member of the Elks Lodge BPOE #533 and was a member of the National Rodeo Association. He enjoyed roping with his brother and nephews and liked playing pitch at the Elks Lodge. Bill loved watching football and basketball on TV. He was preceded in death by his father: James Mack Hamilton, his brother: Danny Hamilton, and his father-in-law: Howard Clements.
