Edith Mae Adams, a Prineville resident, passed away Monday, March 6, 2006. She was 84 years old.
Funeral services will be held at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church on Monday, March 13, 2006 at noon. A luncheon reception will follow. Pastor Gary Koutsopoulos will officiate. Private family graveside services will follow at 2 p.m.
Edith was the daughter of Charles D. and Mel Z. Seay. She was born April 3, 1921 in Burningtown Township, North Carolina. She moved from North Carolina to Washington State during her teenage years. In the Burlington, Washington area she met her future husband, Fred L. Adams, whom she married in Prineville, Oregon on August 18, 1940.
Mrs. Adams was a member of Rebecca's Lodge, Etudier Book Club, P.E.O., Crooked River PTA, Prineville Community Church, and was a supporter of education and the library. She treasured spending time with her family and friends. Other interests included reading, sewing, cooking, and letter writing.
Fred and Edith built the Carolina Motel to which they dedicated many years before enjoying retirement.
