BOYLES, Marion "Al" - Of Davison, age 87, passed away Friday, August 14, 2009 at Genesys Hospice Care Center with his family close by his side. Funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday, August 19, 2009
at West Court Street Church of God, 2920 West Court Street, Flint,
Pastor Douglas Sweezea officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Visitation 2-4pm and 6-8pm Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Mr. Boyles will be at the church 10am Wednesday until the time of the service. Marion was born in Doniphan, MO on February 13, 1922 the son of William and Stella Boyles and had been a resident of the Flint area since 1950. He married Lela Jones in 1942 and was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. Marion was a United States Veteran of World War II. He was employed with Buick for 32 years, retiring in 1982. Marion was also a member of West Court Street Church of God. Surviving are wife of 67 years, Lela; Daughter, Pamela Boyles of Davison; Son, Jim of Flint; Grandchildren, Melissa Boyles of Flint and David Howard of North Carolina; Several nieces and nephews; And special friend, his dog "Zack". He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Stella Boyles son, Robert, 6 Brothers and 7 sisters.
