Services for Sarah Ussery McDaniel,95, of 905 Henderson St will be held at 2pm Thursday in the chapel of Townsend Funeral Home. The Rev Ronnie Powell and the Rev Roland Fall will officiate and burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Dexter.
A life long resident of Laurens County Mrs McDaniel was the daughter of the
late Thomas Jefferson Fann and the late Sarah Frances Shepard Fann. She was
the widow of the late Troy J, McDaniel of Laurens County and was a member of
Springdale Baptist Church. Mrs McDaniel died Monday at a local hospital.
Survivors include a daughter - Sybil Lee of Dublin; two sons - Roger J. Ussery of Milan and Ray Ussery of Jackson; 22 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren.Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary escort will include nephews and a few close friends.The body will lie in state at the funeral home until funeral hour.The family will be at the Dublin home of Mr and Mrs Tommy Lee at 209 Palmer St. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 7:30 - 9pm.
