AUBURN- The REV ERLING D ASSERUD, 61, of Auburn died Sunday Apr 11, 2004 at DeKalb Memorial Hospital in Auburn. He was a retired Evangelical Lutheran Church in America pastor. He served several congregations in Patricksburg and Holland IN and Bridgewater, MI.

He was born Jun 23, 1942, in Mayville, ND to Otto Cornelius Aaserud and Martha Ericka (Lima) Aaserud. They preceded him in death. He married Marlene Peterson on Aug 5, 1967, in Cambridge MN. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law of Otwell and Winslow IN; two daughters and a son-in-law of Auburn and Tampa FL.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law of Fargo ND, Las Vegas NV and Edgewood WA. and five sisters and three brothers-in-law; and six grandchildren.

Services will be Friday at 1pm in the County Line Church of God in rural Auburn. The Rev Bob Herman will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at St Joe. Calling will be Thursday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Feller Funeral Home 875 S Wayne St Waterloo, and Friday from noon to 1 pm at the church.
