Ed had lived in Spokane for the last six years. He was a retired farmer from the Kendrick, Idaho district.

Survived by his widow, Mollie Lien; and his daughter, Margaret, both at the family home. Three brothers, Andrew and Hans Lien of Coeurd d'Alene homes, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; Halver Lien of Moscow, Idaho.

Funeral services Mon. Aug. 15 at 7:30 p.m. from the Bethany Lutheran Church, Pittsburg and DeSmet in Spokane.

A second service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 16 at 1:30 p.m. from the Bethany Lutheran church on Big Bear Ridge. Interment in Big Bear Cemetery.
