SFC Retired Frank Monroe Abbott, Carlisle, TN, died Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Centennial Medical Center, Nashville, TN.

Funeral Services will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2011 at Fairview Baptist Church, Dover, TN with Bro. Tony Chester officiating.

Visitation will be Monday, March 7, 2011 at the Fairview Baptist Church, Dover, from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Dover, TN.

He was born August 17, 1938 in Masardis, ME son of the late George and Jessie Godding Abbott. Mr. Abbott was a retired US Army Vietnam veteran and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie Jones Abbott, Carlisle; sons, Raymond Lewis Lee Smith, Carlisle, Frank M. Abbott III, Bear Springs, Dalon G. Abbott, Carlisle, Tafton S. Abbott(Renee), Clarksville, Geoffery T. Abbott(Shala), Bumpus Mills; daughter, Debbra Kent(Randy), Carlisle; adoptive son, Ricky Keel, Clarksville; sisters, Sara Lafland, ME, Louise Beaulier, CT, Lois Rattray, ME, Mirabel Lakin, SC; brother, George Abbott, NC; fourteen grandchilden and one great-grandson.

Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons.
