He was born in De Lanere, N.D., and moved to Hazlett, Sask., in 1916, where he homesteaded until moving to Tompkins, Sask., in 1921. After farming in that district for 17 years, he came to Calgary, and had since been employed by the C.P.R. as a yardman in the East Calgary Stockyards. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife, Clara; two sons, Douglas and Alvin, both of Calgary; one daughter, Mrs. Gil Christlock of Riverhurst, Sask.; three grandchildren; three brothers, Edward, in Milnor, N.D.; Christopher, At Wahpeton, N.D.; and Oscar, at New Norway, Alberta; five sister, Ingeborg, and Mrs. Ida Undseth, of Battrum, Sask.; Mrs. Minnie Nygard, of Swift Current; Mrs. Nettie Adamson of Monticello, Minn., and Mrs. Esther Macheal of Milnor, N.D.
