Highland, Kansas ----- Mrs. Mildred M. Tilton, 77, Highland, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 1994, at the Medicaledge Nursing Center in Atchison, where she had been a resident since October 1993.

She was born Nov. 13, 1916 at Iowa Point, the daughter of William Brandon and Carrie Williams Dutton Butrick. She attended Iowa Point School and had spent most of her life in Doniphan County.

Mrs. Tilton had worked for Fair Fold Manufacturing, Hiawatha, for several years before she retired. She was a member of the Christian Church, Highland.

She married To Paul Franklin Tilton on Nov. 1, 1933, at Troy. The couple lived in Everest and Valley Falls from 1951 until returning to Highland in 1959.

Her husband died in July 1985. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis "Curley" and Bill Butrick; five half-brothers, Pete, Setp and Ernest Butrick, and Henry and Jim Dutton; and half-sister Blanche Butrick.

Survivors include three sons, Paul J. Tilton, Atchison, William F. Tilton, Andover, Minn., and Daniel L. Tilton, Highland, a sister, Della Titus, Wathena; a half-sister, Elizabeth Dole, Birmingham, Ala.; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Highland Mortuary Chapel with Elder Leonard Twombly, of the H.L.D.S. Church at Fanning officiating. Burial in Iowa Point Cemetery.
