Mr. Dean William Dixon, age 86, of Jefferson passed away Sunday morning November 23, 2014 at North Carolina Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.Mr. Dixon was born in Ashe County on Tuesday, March 6, 1928 to the late William Bert and Johnsie Little Dixon.Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 1:00pm at Friendship Baptist Church. Burial follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Dixon is survived by: his wife, of 65 years of marriage, Jessie Phillips Dixon; a son, Michael Dixon and wife, Diane, of Jefferson; a daughter, Carolyn Jordan and husband, Jene, of High Point, NC; two sisters, Ruth Absher, of Wytheville, VA and Betty Caudill, of Oakton, VA; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews also survive. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ilene Stump; a uncle, Blan Dixon
