Jim was born in Fort Lauderdale Florida, grew up in Florida and graduated from Pompano Beach High School. He went to UCLA where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music.

He opened his own Photography studio, Adams' Photography with is wife Linda which flourished for over 10 years. Also during this time he taught Photography for five years at Kirtland Community College. He became very active in St Francis Ensemble where he made many friends.

He is survived by his wife Linda, children Michelle Adams of Carlsbad CA, Tiffany Davis of Bradenton FL, Shannon Kryston of Bradenton FL, Tara Hamlin of TX, Dan Bertalan of MI, grandkids Cody, Bradley, Daniel, Chelsea, Emily and Connor.

Words cannot describe the loss the entire family feels for him. We miss his sense of humor, his goofy facial expressions, his laugh that we can still hear, his love of photography and traveling, his love for Linda, his love for us kids, the fact that money didn't mean anything to him because he knew it couldn't buy happiness, his love and passion for music, his love for God....we will all see him again though..that I promise...God Bless! Shannon
