Mr. Wallin was born December 28, 1929 in Madison County. Edison was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War and later retired from the NCDOT. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
Edison was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben and Carrie Rice Wallin; sisters: Almarie Adams and Virginia Norton.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Pansy Wallin; a daughter, Donna Spitzer (Ron); brothers: Richmond Wallin and Wendell Wallin (Ruth); several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2014 in the chapel of Madison Funeral Home with Reverends Joe Tomberlin and Jimmy Dean Hensley officiating. Burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 5, 2014 in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
