Edit:
According to the 1870 census enumeration of Tucker Abner (sic), Adaline is 9 years old and John is 7. IF they are Nancy's children, she had them out of wedlock…and before he married his second wife, Lucy Ann Rawlins (widow Sparks).
This is very problematic. I'm not so sure Adaline & John are Nancy's children. Maybe they're not even Tucker's children? Can they be grandchildren?
I'm certain they're not Rachel's…she was too old. But I'm not certain where they actually fit of who is the true mother.
I think it certainly needs further research. I wish I could find Tucker in the 1880 census. His son, John (ae.16) is a laborer on the Cuning farm in Estill Co., KY.
* no children with Lucy.
