Madge Louise Acklen, age 78, of Paris, IL passed away 1:09 p.m., Tuesday August 6, 2013 at Paris Community Hospital. She was a homemaker and a nurse’s aid at Paris Community Hospital and Family Medical Center. Madge was a member of New Beginning’s Church. She was born June 4, 1935 in Paris the daughter of the late W.O. and Hilah Gladys Allen Davis. Madge married Jay Acklen March 24, 1956 and he passed away June 24, 1994.
She is survived by her son Stan Acklen of Paris; her sisters Karen Winkler and Donna Fowler both of Paris; and her granddaughter Sonya Fiscus of Marshall. Madge was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son Bradley Ray Acklen.
Graveside services for Mrs. Acklen will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 9, 2013 at Edgar Cemetery with Rev. John Youngblood officiating. Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery. There is no visitation.
