Dorvil Arthur Royce was the oldest son of nine children of Andrew/Martha Himes Royce. He was born in Leroy Twp., Bradford Co., PA. He was married twice. First to Frances "Fannie" Bell, with whom he was the father of Harper Dell Royce. She is buried in Murray Cemetery, a few miles down the road in Clarke Co., IA. His second wife was Emily Luella "Lulu" Mongar, with whom he was the father of Anna Maud Royce Abel Larsen. He is buried among his second wife's family, the Mongars.
