Myrtice C. Moulyet Abbott, 70 years young, joined her Lord and Savior on April 20, 2000. She had a very full and active life through her work, community and church activities. Through her ever-caring heart and never-ending love, most precious to her was her beloved family. She was a true inspiration to everyone who was blessed to be touched by her. Mrs. Abbott was a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Walton Beach that she loved so dearly.

Mrs. Abbott was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas J. Moulyet and her sister, Helen Maples of Prichard, Ala.

Mrs. Abbott is survived by her husband, Ernest Sr., of 52 years; son, Ernest Jr. (Chris) and his wife Lillie of Oviedo, Fla.; daughter, Madelyn (Lynn) Shumake and her husband Larry; son, Donald (Donnie) G. of Atlanta; five grandchildren, Jennifer Brooks, C. Sean Abbot, Rene, Sean and Tracy Chamberlain.

She is also survived by her twin sister, Myrtle Holder; brothers, Nicholas, Noland and Eugene Moulyet. Also close to her heart, Nolan Frank and Carla Maples and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear special friends.

Through her love of the beach, mountains, garden and her many flowers, she enjoyed life to the fullest and embraced every moment of every day.

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27

Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Emerald Coast Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Monday at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Fort Walton Beach.

As she spread her wings here on Earth, the angel now soars in Heaven!
