Priscilla was born to John Abbott and Margaret Williams.

DIED

At Northop, Kane Co., U.T., at 10 o'clock a.m., July 10, 1877, of old age, Priscilla Abbott Lemmon.

Deceased was born in Rockingham Co., N.C., November 16, 1785; she and her husband, John Lemmon, received the gospel in Greene County, Ind., in 1831, under the administration of Elder Samuel H. Smith and Reynolds Cahoon; moved to Jackson County, Missouri, in 1833; was driven from thence with the rest of the Saints in November of that year; afterwards settled in Davis County, near Adam-ondi-Ahman, and was driven out of the State, with the Saints in 1838; passed through all the persecutions to which the Saints were subjected in Hancock and adjoining counties in Illinois, and was driven from there in 1846. Her husband died just as they were ready to leave the State. She was the mother of twelve children, 11 of whom she raised to manhood and womanhood. She rejoiced in the fullness of the gospel to the last, being glad that she had lived until a Temple was completed, in which to work for the living and the dead. Before her demise she gave her son James Lemmon, with whom she was living, all information relative to their relations, of which she was possessed. She will now rest in peace "Until the resurrection day." She was buried at Springdale 4 p.m., July 11, 1877. Evan M. Greene.
