Mrs. Flossie M. Abbott, 72, R.R.1, Greensburg, died Monday at 11 a.m. at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Mrs. Abbott was born May 28, 1907, in Shelby County in Kentucky, the daughter of John and Lydia Baugh. She was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church and the World War Mothers.
She was married to Chester Abbott Dec. 10, 1929, and he preceded her in death April 27, 1971. She is survived by four sons: William A. Abbott, Greensburg, James I. Abbott, Columbus, Sheldon L. Abbott, R.R.1, Greensburg, and Don A. Abbott, Greensburg; one daughter, Mrs. James (Carol) Davidson, Greensburg; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Charles Baxter officiating and with burial in the South Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday. The family requests that memorials be in the form of contributions to the Decatur County Cancer Society.
