WALTER KARL ALBERDING

WINAMAC — Services for Walter Karl Alberding, 89, Rt. 2, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Frain Mortuary. He died at 1:35 p.m. Friday in Pulaski Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept. 3, 1901, in Medaryville, he was the son of Herman G. and Ernestina Wolter Alberding. On July 26,1929, he was married to Elsie Laura Garling, who died July 26,1979. On Jan. 3,1981, he was married to Evea Rinebarger Abbot, who died March 3,1989.

A motor vehicle mechanic, he resided in Pulaski County most of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War I. He was a member of American Legion Post #71.

Survivors include two stepsons, Donald Abbott, Winamac, and Robert Abbott, Star City; and seven step-grandchildren.

One sister and one brother preceded in death.

The Rev. Kenneth Broad will officiate at the services. Burial with American Legion graveside services will be in McKinley Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to the time of services Monday in the funeral home.
