Born February 1, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Lou Pinson Pauley.
He graduated from Southwestern High School in Detroit in 1973 and went on to work for General Motors for several years as a machinist. He also held jobs in maintenance, janitorial services and security. While living in Kentucky he was a volunteer in the Belfry Fire Department. He was also a member of the Masons and the NRA. Bruce was a loving father with a great sense of humor. He had a silliness about him that made others laugh. His sense of curiosity and appreciation for antiques led him to many ad-ventures as he'd often go "junkin", check out resale shops, and help others as they cleaned out their attics. He brought many treasures home after these outings. Bruce is survived by his son, David Bruce Pauley of Dearborn Heights, MI; brothers Dannie Cooper (Kathy) Pauley of Farmington Hills, Michigan and Dwight Andrew (Nora) Pauley of Forest Hills, KY, and a host of nephews, family and friends. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015, at 11AM at the First Baptist Church of Forest Hills with Tommy Runyon officiating. Burial will follow in the Pauley-Varney Cemetery, Forest Hills, KY with his nephews, Andrew, Steven and Joey Pauley, family friend Joe Lalama and cousins, Derrick Pauley and Josh Martin serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 20, 2015 from 5-9 PM at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel.
