He was born June 5, 1927, in Eugene, to Samuel and Sally Ware. He married Barbara Nelsen in Eugene on Aug. 26, 1949. He served in the Navy during World War II. He worked as a brakeman and conductor for the Southern Pacific Railroad for 40 years.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Bruce of Springfield; a daughter, Sheryl Tuck of Moscow, Idaho; and six grandchildren.
