She was born to Elvin and Kathleen Griffin Aaberg, she married Jack Wortham in Canada and they owned and ran a business in Hot Springs and Montana They moved back from Montana in 1980 when Jack was diagnosed with cancer.
She played softball and billiards in the Senior Olympics. She was Top Senior Olympic athlete and one of South Dakota’s Top Athletes, as she was an inductee into the South Dakota Senior Games Hall of Fame.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her parents, brothers and sisters. A sister-in-law, Shirley Rudd, two step-sons, Jackie and Bobby (Lucky), a stepdaughter, Fay and grandchildren, Greg, Sheldon, Melinda and Evelyn.
