Dorothy was born in Richmond, Kentucky on February 22, 1930 to the late Andy and Orpha (Willis) Abner. She was a homemaker. Dorothy attended the Salvation Army Church and the Golden Agers Bible Study. She enjoyed bowling and horse racing.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Loren Roberts of Kokomo; children, Michael (Barbara) Roberts of Kokomo, Rick (Thresha) Roberts of Palmetto, FL, and Karen (Geronimo) Gonzalez of Kokomo; grandchildren, Clint (Shila) Roberts, Chet (Barbarann) Roberts, Heather (Gabino) Gonzalez, Michael (Rachel) Roberts, Jennifer (Ryan) Massey, and Angelica Gonzalez; great grandchildren, Katelyn and Aleena Roberts, Dylan and Frank Roberts, Loren,Karen, Dale, and Brayden Gonzalez, Fallen and Quinn Roberts, Christian and Colton Massey, and Nevaeh Gonzalez. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Sandlin and Robert Abner(FAG 24767404); sisters, Jane Pennington and Mary Evelyn Petty.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at Ellers Mortuary, 725 S. Main Street.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Beech Grove Cemetery in Salem, Indiana
