Margie Louise Adams, 88, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away at 10:00 PM, Wednesday, May 20th, 2015 at her residence. Margie was born in Ohio County, IN on October 11, 1926, a daughter of the late Emma (McCreary) Pavey and Victor Williams. She worked as head bookkeeper for the Rising Sun State Bank. Margie also had worked for Grand Victoria Casino in Rising Sun, IN. On February 17, 1951 she married Earl William "Bill" Adams. Bill and Margie were married 61 years before his passing in 2012. Margie was a member of the Rising Sun American Legion Auxiliary for over 50 years.
Margie is survived by a nephew John Williams of Rising Sun, IN; a niece Frances Wilson of Cincinnati, OH and niece Linda Buschle of Rising Sun, IN; by 7 great nieces and nephews, 6 great great nieces and nephews and a great great great niece. She is survived by many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Bill, by a brother Oren Williams and a sister Frances Kight.
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Wednesday, May 27 at the Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN with Chaplain Jason Case officiating. Friends are invited to call Tuesday, May 26 from 5-8 PM at Markland Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rising Sun New Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice.
