Albert Vernon Raymond, 86, veteran printer with five newspapers including the Aspen Times, died Saturday morning, Sept. 21 at Colorado General Hospital in Denver following an illness of one month.
Raymond, was the former owner of Raymond's Printing and Stationary in Glenwood.
He also worked as a printer for the Rifle Telegram, The Avalanche Echo, Glenwood Post and Herald-Democrat in Leadville.
Born Nov. 26, 1878 at Harvey county, Kan., he spent his childhood at Pueblo and Leadville. He married Perrie Gertrude Morrick at Leadville in 1905. She died in 1955.
Funeral services were held Sept 24 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Clyde Bair officiating. Burial followed at Aspen Grove Cemetery in Aspen.
