Virginia Elizabeth Wood Abbott, widow of the late E.M. Abbott, and eldest daughter of the late L.L. Wood, passed away peacefully at her home, No. 189 Kneist street, Thursday evening of pneumonia. She leaves to mourn her loss six daughters and two sons, Alice, Nellie, Lulu, Verdie, Clara, Emma, Willis and Edward. Also an aged mother, three sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Geo. Van Leuvan, of Osage, Iowa, Mrs. Jessie King and Mrs. C.F. Mertz of this city; Gus of St. Louis, Mo., Will of Joplin, Mo., and Lewis of La Crosse.
The funeral will take place at the home on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock. Burial private to Linwood cemetery.
